چکیده
The field experiment was carried out on chilli legume vegetables intercropping system using five treatments at the Agronomy Research Field of Bangladesh Agricultural Institute, Gazipur during rabi season, 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. study conducted to find suitable intercrop combination for higher productivity economic return. were viz., T1= Sole (60 cm × 50 cm), T2 = Chilli (100%) + one row bush bean (50%), T3= two (100%), T4= pea T5= (100%). Significantly highest yield (8.67 t/ha) obtained in sole chilli. But inter gave equivalent (21.47 t/ha). gross margin (Tk. 151896/ha) BCR (3.42) from same treatment. results revealed that (50%) intercropped with might be return.

Relay intercropping systems with rice cultivars (WAB450-24-3-2-P18-HB (V4) and WAB56-50), the competitive Cajanus cajan and the weakly competitive Stylosanthes hamata were evaluated in the tropical savanna zone in Côte d’Ivoire. The INTERCOM model for competition served for data analysis and understanding of the system based on phenological, physiological and morphological characteristics of th...

170 Mango is one of the most important and widely cultivated tropical fruits of the world. In India, it is grown in an area of 23.78 lakh hectares with an annual production of 161.98 lakh tones (Indian Horticulture Database-2012). This contributes to 37.8 per cent of total area and 18.6 per cent of total production of fruit crops in India. The plant start bearing 4 to 5 years after planting and...
متن کاملEffects of Shade on Nitrogen and Phosphorus Acquisition in Cereal-Legume Intercropping Systems
With increasing economic and environmental costs associated with fertilizer use, the need for low-input agroecological systems is on the rise. It is well documented that intercropping legumes can increase the supply of nutrients, through N2-fixation and P mobilization. Concurrently, the integration of trees in the agricultural landscape shows increasing evidence of nutrient inputs through effic...
متن کاملLegume-Cereal Intercropping Improves Forage Yield, Quality and Degradability.
Intercropping legume with cereal is an extensively applied planting pattern in crop cultivation. However, forage potential and the degradability of harvested mixtures from intercropping system remain unclear. To investigate the feasibility of applying an intercropping system as a forage supply source to ruminants, two consecutive experiments (experiments 1 and 2) involving a field cultivation t...
متن کاملMaize-grain legume intercropping for enhanced resource use efficiency and crop productivity in the Guinea savanna of northern Ghana
Smallholder farmers in the Guinea savanna practise cereal-legume intercropping to mitigate risks of crop failure in mono-cropping. The productivity of cereal-legume intercrops could be influenced by the spatial arrangement of the intercrops and the soil fertility status. Knowledge on the effect of soil fertility status on intercrop productivity is generally lacking in the Guinea savanna despite...
